The Bio eBook

Ideas from a wide range of areas of computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology are now routinely implemented in computational structural biology and bio-informatics. While it is not possible to be an expert in all these areas, it is important to be aware of this development, as well as to have access to an initial description of most of these ideas, as they might become important for our own research. As my own effort to make such information available, I have developed a Biocomputing electronic e-book or in short Bio-eBook . It contains a collection of mini-reviews on techniques currently used in computational structural biology, including references from which more detailed information can be obtained. These reviews are not aimed to be exhaustive, and focus on the technical aspects of their topics, rather than on results.

The Bio eBook will never complete: it is by essence an on-going project, and will only prove useful if it keeps on growing. At the present stage, it is highly biased towards ideas that I have personally developed, or that I use frequently in my work. I do hope that even with these limitations, it will be useful to you. Enjoy, and please come back again for updated versions of the Bio eBook!
